SRD Status Check Za is written by an editorial team, and the easiest way to reach us is by email: [email protected]. We read every message and aim to reply within five working days. There is no contact form, and that is on purpose. A form invites people to type personal details, and we do not want them.
What we can help with
- A mistake on one of our pages. A wrong date, amount, phone number or link, or something that is out of date. This is the most useful message you can send us.
- A question about a guide. Where a statement comes from, which source we checked, or what a label such as Estimated or Not published means. Our editorial policy explains the labels.
- A topic you could not find. Tell us the question you needed answered and we will consider it for a future guide.
- A privacy request. To ask what personal information we hold about you (usually just the emails you have sent us), or to have it corrected or deleted, follow the steps in our privacy policy.
- Expert help. If you have professional experience with social grants, see how to become a reviewer on the authors and reviewers page.
- A fake site or message. Tell us what you saw. Report it to SASSA first. We list an address as fake only when an official source has named it, so we may not be able to add it to our warning.
What we cannot help with
We have no access to SASSA’s systems and no say in its decisions. That means we cannot:
- see your application, or tell you why a month was declined or is still pending;
- approve, unblock, speed up or reverse a decision;
- lodge an appeal or a reconsideration on your behalf;
- change your banking details or your cellphone number;
- give legal, financial or other professional advice.
If your question is about the next step after a result, our guides on what each SRD status means and how to appeal a declined month are a better place to start than an email.
What not to send us
Please never email or message us any of the following:
- your ID number;
- the cellphone number linked to your application;
- a PIN or an OTP;
- bank account details;
- your application ID;
- a screenshot that shows any of the above.
Describe the problem in words instead. If you sent one of these by mistake, tell us and we will delete the message.
How to report a factual mistake
- Write to [email protected] with the word “Correction” in the subject line.
- Tell us which page it is on, and quote the sentence or number that you think is wrong.
- Tell us what you believe is correct and where you saw it. A link to a public official page is ideal.
- We check your report against our sources. If you are right, we fix the page, change its updated date and add a line to the corrections and updates log.
- If the sources disagree with each other, we show both and say where each one comes from.

SASSA’s office directory is on the same website, and you should bring your original ID document if you visit an office.
