Every grant has its own payment day this month, and one of them falls in October. Find yours in the cards below, then read what it means in practice. A payment is made on or after the day shown, and SASSA asks beneficiaries not to visit its offices unnecessarily.
The revised schedule next to October
Here is the revised November row beside October’s, so you can see how far each date moved.
| Month | Older persons | Disability | Children’s grants |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 2026 | 2 October | 5 October | 6 October |
| November 2026 Revised | Friday 30 October | Monday 2 November | Tuesday 3 November |
Dates are paid on or after the day shown, and a weekend or public holiday moves a payment to the next working day.
Each grant’s November date is exactly four weeks after its October date. For older persons that means two payments in the same month, on 2 October and on 30 October. We do not repeat the original November dates, because the revised ones are the only dates that count now. If SASSA changes them again, we will update this page and record the change on our corrections and updates page.
Why SASSA changed the dates
The local government elections take place on 4 November. SAnews reported on 15 October 2026 that SASSA had revised the November grant payment dates ahead of the elections, and SASSA asked beneficiaries not to visit offices unnecessarily.
That tells you what the change is: a planned move of the schedule, not a delay. A payment made on its revised day is on time, so there is no need to phone or queue to ask about it.
Find your grant in the cards above and put the date in your cellphone calendar. Look at your account or card from that day, not before. For every other month, use the 2026/27 payment schedule.
What the revised dates mean for each grant
Older persons: Friday 30 October
Your November money arrives before November begins. If you usually check your account in the first days of the month, check earlier this time, from Friday 30 October. The grant is R2,400 a month. Our guide to older persons grant payment dates covers the whole year and explains why this group is paid first.
Disability: Monday 2 November
The disability grant, R2,400 a month, follows on Monday 2 November. Because 30 October is a Friday, a weekend sits between the older persons’ day and yours. The rest of the year is on our disability grant payment dates page.
Children’s grants: Tuesday 3 November
Children’s grants are paid on Tuesday 3 November, the day before the elections. The Child Support Grant is R580 a month. Caregivers can find every date for the year, and the Foster Child and Care Dependency amounts, in our child support grant payment dates guide.
Grants under review: Thursday 5 November
Grants under review have their own date, Thursday 5 November, the day after the elections. The schedule note does not say which grants this covers or what a review involves, so we cannot tell you whether yours is one of them. If SASSA has told you that your grant is under review, plan for 5 November and ask SASSA to confirm.
What about SRD in November?
None of the dates above are SRD dates. SASSA does not publish a fixed SRD calendar. SRD is paid in a window, and your own pay day appears on your status card on the official portal at srd.sassa.gov.za. For November 2026 the SRD window is Not confirmed, and we will add it as soon as there is a source.
People still search for the “SASSA R350 grant payment date for November”. The amount later went up to R370, and SRD is funded to 31 March 2027. Our SRD payment dates guide keeps the SRD window apart from the main-grant dates, and if your SRD month shows approved but nothing arrives, start with approved but no payment.
If your November payment has not arrived
Work through these in order before you worry.
- Check the date for your own grant. Older persons were due on 30 October, not on 2 November.
- Remember that a payment is made on or after the day shown. A weekend or public holiday moves it to the next working day.
- Look at your bank statement or card transactions for the arrival date. Banks differ and we do not give bank-by-bank timelines, so ask your bank if the statement is unclear.
- If your grant is under review, your date is Thursday 5 November.
- Still nothing after your date? Call SASSA’s toll-free call centre on 0800 60 10 11 or email [email protected]. If you must go to an office, take your original ID.
Never pay anyone to “release” or speed up a grant, and never share your PIN or OTP. Anyone who offers to do that for a fee is a scammer. Report suspected fraud on SASSA’s anti-fraud line, 0800 701 701. More in our official links and scam warning guide.
What to do on election day itself
The elections fall on 4 November, between the children’s payment on 3 November and the under-review payment on 5 November. None of the four revised dates is 4 November. We have not seen any statement from SASSA on how its offices or call centre will run that day, so we will not guess. What we can support is SASSA’s own request that beneficiaries do not visit offices unnecessarily.
In practice, that means:
- Rely on the dates above instead of going in to ask about them.
- If you need SASSA, write to the email address above, or try the call centre on another day. We cannot say how either will operate on 4 November.
- Watch sassa.gov.za and SASSA’s official channels for notices, such as X (@OfficialSASSA).
The next cycle is already published. See December 2026 payment dates for 2, 3 and 4 December, or go back to the SASSA payment dates hub.
